Wiza comes out on top for ease of use. Hunter is an old favorite, but not always accurate. You can also opt for a simple online tool like VerifyEmailAddress, which is mostly accurate but doesn’t provide a comprehensive feature set. Skrapp offers a robust API integration, and Breadcrumbs enables you to verify HubSpot contact lists.

A new kid on the block, we’ve been enjoying Wiza’s refreshing take on prospecting emails online. Wiza has a Chrome extension that feels like it’s part of your LinkedIn experience. You’ll see Wiza buttons appear on the right-hand side of the screen and under people’s profile sections. It works for Sales Navigator searches as well. This type of UI/UX integration makes it really intuitive for prospecting sales, marketing, or hiring leads.

The browser app is also easy to use and enables you to build lists using dynamic filters. You can find accurate contact info for thousands of prospects and export your lists for outreach. Besides helping you verify email addresses, Wiza also provides up-to-date phone numbers and company information. Their Zapier integration empowers you to automate pretty much all of your outreach efforts.
2. Hunter: More than a list-builder

Hunter is a popular choice among B2B SaaS. It has a pretty comprehensive toolset and also enables you to send cold emails. We used Hunter’s Chrome extension (freemium version) on and off for years but found that only about half of the emails found were verified. This was pretty frustrating and led us to find other tools that do the same job.
But Hunter is still in our top five list of email verifiers because of its user-friendliness and extended features. You can take Hunter for a test drive using their free domain search, email finder, and email verifier tools.
3. VerifyEmailAddress

If you’re looking for a super basic, trustworthy one-email-per-search verifier – this is it. VerifyEmailAddress has been around since 2010 (as you can see from the website design) and is pretty accurate. It’s user-friendly and completely free, so it’s a good option if you only do occasional email searches. The only annoying thing is that you’re bombarded with ads when using this free tool.
4. Skrapp
- Special feature: Highlights catch-all email addresses.
- Pricing: Starts at $30 /month for 2 users, billed annually.

Skrapp offers all the standard features you’d expect from a contact list-builder platform. You can search for email addresses based on company or name, and verify email addresses using the single-entry tool or the bulk uploader. We enjoyed its simplicity and the quick overview toggle in the “Lists” view.
The LinkedIn Chrome plugin verifies emails really fast and seems accurate. We have yet to test the overall deliverability of the emails this tool finds.

5. Breadcrumbs

Although initially devised and positioned as a lead-scoring tool for sales teams, we’ll only look at Breadcrumbs’ free email verifier tool. It’s worth noting that the company has recently been acquired by MadKudu (a no-code PLG platform). It doesn’t offer transparent pricing and requires a demo booking if you want to explore its premium offering.
You can look up one email per day using the free tool or connect your HubSpot account and check the health of your existing contact lists. We like the straightforward UI and direct integration with HubSpot CRM.
Before you bounce
Email verification is an extra step in your prospecting process, but will save you time by ensuring high-quality contact info. Sometimes, you can still take a “risk” on unverified emails, as none of these tools are perfect.
That’s why we particularly like Wiza’s interface – it segments the risky and 100% valid email addresses, so you can take a smart approach to your outreach.
